What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that combines talking therapy with hypnosis. It focuses on your preferred future rather than past problems, helping you build positive thought patterns, improve wellbeing, and achieve your goals.

What happens during a session?

Each session is divided into two parts. We begin by focusing on what has been going well and any improvements since our last conversation.  This is followed by a relaxing guided hypnosis segment, where your mind can process and reinforce the positive changes we’ve discussed. 

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No—you remain fully aware and in control at all times. Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention, similar to daydreaming or becoming absorbed in a book.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Most clients describe hypnosis as a deeply relaxing and calming experience. You may feel physically relaxed while your mind remains gently focused and aware.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals, but many clients begin to notice positive changes within 6–12 sessions. Some goals may be achieved more quickly, while others may take longer.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is a safe and natural state that you experience every day, such as when you’re drifting off to sleep. It is widely used to support relaxation and positive mental wellbeing.

Will I be made to do or say anything against my will?

Absolutely not. You cannot be made to do anything you don’t want to do. You remain in control throughout the session and the approach we use is focused on your positive well being.

Do online hypnotherapy sessions actually work… or does it need to be face to face?

In reality, many people find working online feels easier. There’s no travel, no rushing—just the space to join from somewhere you feel comfortable.

And even though we’re not in the same room, the way I work stays the same.
