Hello and welcome,
My name is Jill Rens, and I am a fully qualified Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist.
I trained with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy, widely regarded as the gold standard in hypnotherapy training and hold an enhanced DBS.
I am registered with both the AfSFH and the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and I am fully insured, ensuring you receive professional, ethical, and high-quality support.
I have a particular interest in helping people experiencing stress, anxiety, and trauma. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward in a way that feels empowering and achievable.
I genuinely love the work I do. I am deeply passionate about supporting people to feel better, regain a sense of control, and create meaningful, positive change in their lives. Seeing clients grow in confidence, control, and clarity is truly rewarding, and it is a privilege to be part of their journey.
About Me
For almost 25 years, I worked in finance — a busy, high-pressure world where stress was often just part of everyday life. I never imagined that my own life would take a very different turn.
After experiencing a traumatic event in 2015, I was later diagnosed with PTSD in 2018. That diagnosis was overwhelming, and like many people, I began searching for something that could genuinely help — not just mask how I was feeling, but support real, lasting change.

That search led me to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. From the very beginning, I was struck by how gentle and natural the process felt. There was no need to relive the past — instead, it helped me understand how my mind worked and gently retrain it towards a calmer, happier, and mentally healthier place. It played a huge part in helping me feel like me again.

Because of my own experience, I chose to train in SFH and completely change direction. I trained and qualified with the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), and this gave me a strong, ethical, and evidence-based foundation to support others safely and effectively.
Today, I work with adults who are living with trauma, stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. I understand how exhausting life can feel when your mind won’t switch off and everything feels like too much. My aim is to offer a warm, supportive space where you feel safe, understood, and gently guided — so you can move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

If something you’ve read here resonates with you, I’d love to support you. Taking that first step can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of real change. I believe that although we can’t control the past or predict the future, we do have full control over how we respond in the present. When you’re ready, I’m here to help you move forward.
You are not alone.
